One of the promises we make to our clients is to be there quickly when they need us. That’s one of the reasons I won’t extend the reach of Aptica LLC beyond a two hour driving radius. If it takes us too long to get there (if being on-site is necessary to make the fix) then I think we are not keeping our promise to be timely in a crisis. Another key quality of a top rated IT support company is to have the right staffing. Ideally every member of the Aptical staff has full days that pass quickly because one task flows right into the next. But I also have to have enough staff for those weeks when it’s one crisis after another. I am always interested in talking to someone who wants to work in the IT support business. Most people think you have to have a degree in IT to get a job with a company like Aptica, but really, aptitude and willingness to learn are more important to me than what someone learned in school. Our methods for IT service here are so careful that I prefer to teach a new staff member how to provide service from the ground up. Sure, a background in computers is helpful but I also want to talk to someone who just enjoys learning about them. So keep your ear to the ground for me and if you know of someone who might be a good fit here at Aptica, please let me know. As I mentioned before, we are working toward expanding into Marshall, MI, and when that works out I want to be sure that I am adequately staffed and that a new person is well trained.
